Dr. Preeeti Rani   from Uttarakhand is an Associate Professor and Head of the Commerce Department at Dr P.D.B.H Govt (PG) college Kotwad . She is M.com, MA (Economics)obtained PhD degree from C.C.S. University (U.P). She has got her PhD degree with the topic, “Impact of Human Resource Management in Life Insurance Corporation of India”. Presently she is Associate Professor and Head of the Commerce Department in Dr. P.D.B.H. Govt. (P.G.) College Kotdwar, Uttarakhand. She has been actively involved in teaching and research since 1997.   She has an academic experience of 15 years in the field of Commerce and management at Post Graduate level and 23 years experience Under Graduate level.

Her research area mainly focuses on Income tax, Human resource management and She has co-guided 2 PhD scholars. She is the author of the book “Income Tax Law and Practice” published by Sultan Chand and Sons, Daryaganj New Delhi, publisher of standard educational text book.  She has 26 research publications in International journals and has presented research findings in International conferences.   Professionally she is associated with the Institute of Charted Accountant of India (ICAI), C.C.S University, S.D.S University and H.N.B Garhwal University etc. She has received Tejaswini Women award 2021 from AGMAN Foundation.

She is very optimistic and amiable. From time to time, she always gives small calculation for her students to figure out after the class. She takes feedback and asks her students to chalk down what they have and haven’t understood which helps her to get a global feedback. She is widely sought after as a lecturer and is always willing to mentor students, even when they are not her students. She has often been known to spend hours at academic meetings helping students from statistical methods. She enjoys visiting different places and spending time to study India’s culture.
