Lavya Khanna from Ambala is a passionate Dancer recently recieved Iconic international women Award 2021 from SDP IAWA AWARDS and AMARCINE production.


Dance is a form of art that helps to express one’s true self. It is the way of presenting the true emotions and feelings assembled together in a single performance. Generally people think  dance is only a series of body movements in rhythm with the tune of the music or simply a form of exercise. However  for dancers, the value of dance is priceless, they dance not only to impress the audience with their beautiful moves but 
to express themselves. 
There have been a lot of prominent dancers who have showcased their own talents in the field of 
dancing. They have influenced and encouraged several others to follow their dreams and become a dancer. Now, a graceful dancer Lavya Khanna, 16 years old, school-girl has proved her worth with her dancing talents at national and international levels. Her accomplishment proves that dancing has no age bar, it is only inspiration and passion that matters to be a successful dancer.

 She is born to Groove .This incredibly talented little girl was born on 21st April 2004 in Ambala City, Haryana to Mr. Naresh Kumar Khanna and Sneha Khanna. Her father runs a business and her mother is a housewife. Besides being a wonderful and polished dancer, she is a brilliant student as well.

She studies in Army Public School, Ambala Cantt, and is the house captain of her school. Lavya’s interest in dancing was there from a very young age and along with it she is fond of drawing, painting, making rangolis, etc. She is an example of a multi-talented girl who is on her way to achieve great heights in the near future. 
Being passionate about dancing, her mother and her grandmother inspired her a lot and at the age of six, she took the first step towards achieving her dreams. Initially, Lavya started with hip-hop and western dance forms, but gradually she realized that she is made for classical and folk dance. In 2015, at the age of twelve, she joined Satyug Darshan Sangeet Kala Kendra to pursue a 6 years course in Kathak. 

This is an Inspiring real life story  of Lavya khanna  as a dancer.Lavya has flawlessly topped the examination of 4th year, where she scored 95 marks out of 100 in the practical examination. Anju Miglani is her Guru and her  inspiration, who has guided and motivated Lavya to be  successful, expressive and rhythmic dancer like her.

Though she is very young, her dancing skills have paved the way to success; she has set her own 
benchmark and will definitely become one of the best dancers in the near  future. Lavya has participated in many competitions to showcase her dancing skills and got recognitions. Until now, she has received three National awards in the year 2016. Out of which two were at Pune, Maharashtra under the banner of  Akhil Bhartiya Sanskrutik Sangh Pune, Global Harmony in 2016. With immense inspiration from her guru and motivation from elders Lavya won three National Awards again. She achieved this feat in 
Abhinay 2018 in the 32nd All India Drama and Dance Competition organized by FLYFOT Forum, Solan.

With the gradual rise of stardom, she made a place in millions of hearts. Apart from trophies, she has won many cash prizes from different competitions. The Dance was always her first love which made her receive 1st Prize for her group dance competition in Haryana Ki Dhoom 7-8, organized in association with NIT Kurukshetra & Haryana Kala Parishad. She is brilliant in Haryanvi Dance, and  in this form  of dancing she recieved her second award .

Lavya participated in a dance programme like Paniri which was aired on D.D Punjabi in September 2016. It’s her impeccable talent that recorded her name in the International Book of Records in Twist Dance in the year 2017 in Karnal, Haryana, India. She even won a Gold Medal in the International Contest in the 6th Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts-2016 which was held at Bishop’s College Auditorium, Colombo, 
Srilanka.
At a very young age, Lavya has proved that with sheer hard work and dedication, nothing is impossible to achieve. When it comes to pursuing dreams and following one’s passion, age is just a number. Lavya’s journey beautifully depicts how a true inspiration and strong family support can help a child outshine their talent. This story is not only about how a little girl achieved her name and fame in life but also the way her parents’ supported her to achieve and turn the  colourful picture for their daughter.. Undoubtedly, the accomplishments of a 16-year-old 
girl are quite surprising and incredible.

Lavya won the Karamveer Chakra Award instituted by ICONGO in partnership with the United Nations on 12th October 2019 at IIT , Delhi.Even she acquired an award from Rotary Club in 2017 as she achieved the Gold Medal at Colombo , Srilanka and again in 2019 for her Kathak and Haryanvi dance performances.
N 2017 , eminent minister Anil Vij also awarded Lavya.Her talent made her win three National Awards in the year 2016 and next three in 2018.
Lavya came 1st in semi-classical group dance in National Dance Competition under the banner Saptarang Cultural Festival 2016 organized by LAY School Of Performing Art at Nanded , Maharashtra.Her fierce talent let her reach the third position in the State Level Dance Competition and got the Governor’s Award on 14th November 2017.Lavya was even awarded by Women and Child Welfare Minister , DC of Ambala and Haryana Minister Aseem Goel Ji in the year 2017.In 2015 , Lavya received 2nd Prize from Siddhesh Pai for Haryanvi Solo Dance. She was felicitated by Manan Sachdeva in 2016 and rewarded with 1st prize in a solo dance competition.Lavya was presented with 1st prize in a solo dance competition , by Uday Sachdeva , DID finalist , in 2018.


Lavya is also an NCC Cadet candidate and passed her grade ‘A’ certificate in the year 2019.
