She attended the Far Eastern University and the MMC where she obtained her medical technology degree. Shobha Vijay Joshi is the name of the inspiration, giving a new identity to Almora after being honoured with the Iconic Women International Award 2021 for her recognition among 50 strong women of the country. Shobha's journey began after the sudden death of her husband, winning the election for the post of Municipality Chairman in 2007 with strong votes. SHe took care of her social duties as well as her family's responsibilities with full devotion.She has  two small children to take care all by herself with other duties in life.   During the tenure between 2007 and 2013, she brought Almora into a progressive city chain with the renovation of Patal Bazar along with 4 storey parking. She introduced first time "shav vahan"for public welfare  , sewer line connectivity and  construction of a park in the city Almora.
